Here is a funky geometric Christmas tree svg for you. Here are two different looks for it. 
I did not create layers for this file since the recent versions of SCAL2 will import each piece into its own layer.

When I import this into SCAL it only shows the stand and star… am I doing something wrong?
Hi Matt,
It could be a compatibility issue with your version of SCAL. There was a compatibility problem with Inkscape 0.47 (what I used to make this) and early versions of SCAL2. If you are using an early SCAL2, try going to the Craft Edge website here and updating your SCAL (no charge for this with any version of SCAL2).
ETA I tried the file in SCAL1 and it didn’t import correctly. I used Path/Union on each of the pieces and it now imports correctly. The download link has been updated with the new file.
