Print and cut swallowtail butterfly

I have a thing for butterflies.  I love the work that I see with fussy-cut butterflies.  Now that I have an eClips I can make Print and Cut butterflies and skip that pesky cutting using scissors. smile emoticon   Here is a swallowtail butterfly that I made for a recent project.  I’m sure it is the first of many butterflies that you will see from me.  :)

My eCAL file has a print only layer (eCAL 1.005 or newer) that gives a black bleed so that if you are a little bit off in your cutting you won’t have a white area around the cut.  The white in my photo is actually the cut edge of my paper not a white line around the cut.  If you are using another program, set the image and the svg at the same height since I didn’t build a bleed into the image file.

The download is a single layer svg file for use with any version of SCAL, a PNG image, and a SCUT3 file for use with eCAL.

My files are for personal use only.  Feel free to link to this post, but the files are not to be shared or distributed in any way.

Download the files here.

Hi Heather, I just used your swallowtail as my first ever print and cut today. It turned out awesome. I used SCAL3 and the Silver Bullet. Thank you for sharing the file, it made it so much easier to understand the process.

    Thanks again, Rachelle
