Here are two zig zag page edges by request from the SCAL forum.  These were designed as page edges but would work well as smaller decorative elements too.

Raggedy Ann paper piecing svg

January 7, 2010

Here is a Raggedy Ann paper piecing file to go with my Raggedy Andy file here.  The oval piece is to put behind the face so that the eyes can be drawn in or made a different color than the base.

The download is a layered svg file for use with either version of SCAL.

Raggedy Andy paper piecing svg

January 5, 2010

Here is a Raggedy Andy paper piecing file.  The buttons will be too small to use unless you cut him at a rather large size.  Also, the oval piece is to put behind the face so that the eyes can be drawn in or made a different color than the base.

The download is a layered svg file for use with either version of SCAL.

Snowflake ornament and svg files

January 4, 2010

I try to make personalized ornaments every year.¬† This year I made snowflake ornaments using shrink plastic and SCAL.¬† I used shrink plastic that you can use in your inkjet printer and printed a photo of my kids on it.¬† To center the photo in the snowflake I used the hinge method described here, except when using SCAL it isn’t necessary to note the blade location.¬† I used a 60¬į blade and multicut.¬† One word of caution, I had to use a new blade for each snowflake to get a¬† clean cut.¬† I used a multi-cut of 4x with a new blade, the second snowflake required 8x and the edges were not as clean.¬† This was what it looked like after I baked it.

Here are two versions of this snowflake.  Snowflake A was my original design, and Snowflake B was my modification for the photo.

The download is a zipped folder with svg files for use in either version of SCAL. These files are for personal use only. Feel free to link to this post, but the files are not to be shared or distributed in any way.

Tabbed file folder svg files

January 2, 2010

Here are four tabbed file folders by request.¬† These were designed to hold 4×6 photos, but could be cut at any size.¬† Set the height at 6.5″ for a folder to hold 4×6″ photos.¬† The baby bug will make a folder that will be about 3.6×5.5″ not including the tab.¬† I used two small slits to mark the folding line.¬† If you don’t want the fold marks to cut, use the blackout feature.

The download is a zipped folder with svg files for use in either version of SCAL. These files are for personal use only. Feel free to link to this post, but the files are not to be shared or distributed in any way.
