WOYWW and we are almost ready for the sugar rush

October 31, 2012

Here’s what my workspace looks like for  What’s on Your Workdesk? Wednesday this week.  Not much to see right now since I’ve been working on adding elastic to DD’s waistbands that are too loose.  I did dig out the modelling paste and a stencil for a texture challenge.  I hadn’t used them before this little test on some scrap paper.  LOVE them!  I’ll have to be sure to use them quite a bit.     :)

Here’s the real project this week.  Last night we gutted and carved our pumpkins.  Both kids wanted me to make the storm trooper pumpkin, so I caved to the pressure.    No pressure was needed to toast the seeds though.  I predict 2 days until they are all gone.

WOYWW and a chevron arrow element

October 24, 2012

Here’s what my workspace looks like today for What’s on Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  I’m back to working on the LO I was working on a couple of weeks ago.  I’ve changed every single thing on it except for the photo and Cub Scout stickers, some things more than once.  Finally almost done (no more changes, just finishing touches)!

Here is another simple svg I made this week.  It’s a simple chevron arrow frame or element.

The download is a single layer svg file for use with any version of SCAL.

My files are for personal use only.  Feel free to link to this post, but the files are not to be shared or distributed in any way.

WOYWW and a digi-paper freebie

October 10, 2012

Here’s what my workspace looks like today for What’s on Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  I’m in the paper selection phase for the LO on my table, but I’m struggling with this one.  I think I’m going to use a transparency that I created and printed to use as an overlay.

I am posting the circle pattern that I used for my overlay as a freebie today.  For some reason I’m making more image files than cutting files recently.  I should have some more Inkscape tutorials soon.

The download is a PNG image file with a transparent background.

WOYWW and a layered banner svg freebie

October 3, 2012

Here’s what my table looks like today for What’s on Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  I’m going to rework the tissue boxes to hold some of the ornaments currently stored on my desk.  I’m sure I could find something else to put there if I managed to give away or store the ornaments.

I also have an svg for a layered banner freebie today.  This would work great either paper pieced, or as a print and cut.

The download is a layered svg file for use with any version of SCAL.

My files are for personal use only.  Feel free to link to this post, but the files are not to be shared or distributed in any way.

WOYWW and my pumpkin box updated

September 26, 2012

Here’s what my table looks like today for What’s on Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  Not much of a change is it?  I skipped my usual challenge this week since it was a specific kind of card and I’m NOT a  card maker (OK, I’m something of a baby too!)    What you can’t see is the Cub Scout uniform shirt on my chair that I need to sew patches onto.  Aleene’s Tack-It Over and Over is good for more than just making your cutting mats sticky again, it will hold patches for a while too.

Since Halloween is just around the corner I thought that I would update my pumpkin treat bag for use with eCAL and SCAL3.  I mostly just made little tweaks and I added a shape to use as an inside panel behind the face.  This time I made it smaller and put glittered transparency inside so that we can use it with an LED tealight.

The download is a layered svg for use with SCAL2, SCAL3, and eCAL. This file is for personal use only. Feel free to link to this post, but the file is not to be shared or distributed in any way.

Download the layered file from here.  The single layer files were not changed and are still available here.

WOYWW and a lack of focus

September 19, 2012

I missed What’s on Your Workdesk? Wednesday last week, but I managed to get a photo today.  I also missed the original deadline for my Wednesday challenge, but lucky me it’s been changed to tomorrow.  I can’t claim that I didn’t have time, I just got sidetracked trying to figure out how to do something in Illustrator two nights in a row.  Both distractions sparked by Pinterest.    Check back later for more on that project (I’m still working on it).  :)
